Thanks for working on this for amd64 and i386.  IMHO making this work on
other architectures is as simple as just preventing -msse2 option at all
because there is no such option.  I admit I have not read the discussion
you linked to in your last mail about this topic but if I'm not
missleaded the patch gets rid of those options for other architectures
and should work.  If not upstream seems to use specific features of
these Intel architectures and the code is not for other architectures
anyway.  In this case an apropriate fix would be to restrict the
architectures to those the code is specifically written for.
