Hi James,

if you want to use debian/upstream/ as a directory with uscan, the most important
is the transition from the debian/upstream file to debian/upstream/metadata.

If you do not lead the effort, or if you do not find somebody to do the work,
it is not going to happen.  This is where a discussion can be useful.

Currently, only a few packages are using debian/upstream/ in the context of
uscan, so it is much easier for you than for us to correct the name (for
instance to debian/uscan/).
