Hi Eric,

I cannot reproduce your described behaviour. My properties window does not move at all when I interact with some model

(as I've wrote already in #1030017) Some ideas:

have you additional infomrations about your setup?
Wayland? Xorg?
Does FreeCAD "say" something in the console?

Have you made sure to apt full-upgrade, so that you have everything updated from sid?
Any held back packages? Any third party repositories?
Any plugins installed=

Can you try with a new user (to ensure that there is no problem with your pofike ~/.config/FreeCAD/)
