I give up with that package. Please see if you can build it. It has some
problems:

1) binary name clash /usr/bin/split (also in coreutils)
2) hardcodes paths in the binary:

$ pwd
/home/neo/deb/itp/air/air-1.2.8/debian
$ grep -nR "/home/neo/" air/
air/usr/bin/air:54:my $bitmap_dir="/home/neo/deb/itp/air/air-1.2.8/debian/air/usr/share/air/bitmaps";
air/usr/bin/air:55:my $air_log_dir = "/home/neo/deb/itp/air/air-1.2.8/debian/air/usr/share/air/logs";
air/usr/bin/air:60:my $air_fifo = "/home/neo/deb/itp/air/air-1.2.8/debian/air/usr/share/air/air-fifo";
air/usr/bin/air:1810:           $img_cmd_end = "| /home/neo/deb/itp/air/air-1.2.8/debian/air/usr/bin/split -a 3 -d -b $split_size" . "m" . " - $dest_data. >> $air_log 2>&1";
air/usr/bin/air:1967:			$img_cmd_end = "dd if=$air_fifo 2>> $air_log | /home/neo/deb/itp/air/air-1.2.8/debian/air/usr/bin/split -a 3 -d 2>> -b $split_size" . "m" . " - $dest_data.";
$

3) I've made a rough debian/rules, and I'm pushing it right now.

Kindly,
David

P.S.: I wanted to start using git with a simple tiny package. It seems like
I've chosen the most difficult one -.-'
