Hmm, that's basically the same output. I would have expected something different if it was the uhid driver.

You may need to ask about this on the FreeBSD USB lists - maybe it has been fixed in later versions, or maybe they know a trick to get better error messages.

I did see a report of someone successfully using blazer_usb (with the cypress subdriver, but a different UPS vendor) on FreeNAS, so that is some hope.
