OnionShare should use the default control settings for the Debian tor:

pabs at chianamo ~ $ touch foo 
pabs at chianamo ~ $ onionshare foo
Connecting to Tor control port to set up hidden service on port 41340.
Cannot connect to Tor control port on port [9051, 9151]. Is Tor running?
