Thank you all for the review!

I like the Python style, but I have indeed to admit that I also find it
less readable. I optimized the temporary variables though and applied it
in one function. I kept my initial version in the construction of the
added_usertags and deleted_usertags, where I found this way of writing
much too hard to read.

I still did not import the script to a common repository on Alioth.
I requested access to the team though, so that I would share a common
group access with you. intrigeri, could you check if you received my
request and approve it if you think that that's the way to go?
