Thanks for your bug report! I cannot reproduce this on current sid.

What's the symptom of this problem?

Can you please tell us the exact version of the affected thunderbird
package, and paste the output of the following command

  sudo journalctl -kaf --no-hostname | grep -w 'apparmor="DENIED"' 

?
