That email says lists.d.o will be OK for "big teams". I don't think we qualify.

Agreed.

Now, there's an ongoing discussion on debian-devel@ about replacing
Alioth's mailing list service somehow. Some people volunteered.

So let's wait a bit more before making a decision :)
