Oh, I see. I only converted from classic SETI@home yesterday and hadn't
entirely understood how BOINC works with different projects and
operating systems.

Indeed. As an alternative it might be possible to create a Debian
package that downloads the latest official release of BOINC from the web
site - have you considered that?

I'll grab that package since my current selfmade init script for BOINC
isn't exactly up to Debian standards. :-)
