Thanks a lot for reporting this but I must say that I do not quite concur.  I
just checked the template files of some other packages and it seems that at
least all those also refer to README.Debian (and not README.Debian.gz). If
there's some new rationale or discussion among translators to change this please
provide such information; otherwise I'd stick with what others seem to do as
well and leave it as is. Hence I will also tag this bug wontfix for the moment.
