Dear Maintainer,

The behaviour is the same on experimental (2:2.2.0~rc1-1)
The symptoms are exactly as described on:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/debian/+source/cryptsetup/+bug/1830110
The proposed patch works on Buster too.
