Welcome! One aspect in which Cyrus SASL in general lacks, is the
documentation. You could write down how Cyrus SASL works, especially
from a sysadmin perspective, and that could be included in the package.

Another thing would be to start going through the code, trying to find
concurrency issues, memory leaks, etc. Basically an audit for both
reliability and security.

And as soon as there is a new package, testing will be needed. And a lot
of it.
