Package: isc-dhcp-client
Version: 4.1.1-P1-15
Severity: normal
File: /sbin/dhclient

Excuse me for my bad English :-)

I have a computer with Debian 6 and router with DHCP server.
When I turn on router first and then computer - network works without any problems.
But when I turn on computer first and then router - network begin to work
only after a long timeout (nearly 5 minutes).

I am sure that networking can be started much faster because
kernel knows exact moment when ethernet connection established.
So, Debian can try to start networking without so long timeout.

I have not NetworkManager installed but I am sure that networking should start
fast on desktop regardless of NetworkManager existence.
