If you want the package to be team maintained, the easiest way is to just 
upload a version making the team the maintainer and adding yourself to 
uploaders. (See http://wiki.debian.org/PkgElectronics for instructions). 

Once the team is marked as the maintainer, it's much more likely that team 
members will keep a general eye on the package in the future. If there is 
specific help you want, you can always post here and ask. =)

Of course if you are interested in more electronics packages than simulavr, 
you are welcome to join the electronics team as well.
