[Pkg-fonts-devel] RFC: t1-urw-garamondno8 fonts for TeX and X

Dear people.

I use the URW Garamond No. 8 fonts from CTAN (despite the fact that they
are non-free) and I prepared an updated package based on work of Kevin
Bube.

Since this is my first time packaging fonts, I have left many issues and
I intend to get the pckage in a better shape, so that, perhaps, the
package can be included in Debian in the not-so-distant future.

I would, therefore, appreciate comments on my packaging. I have uploaded
the sources to mentors.debian.org and you can grab the sources from:

dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/non-free/t/t1-urw-garamondno8/t1-urw-garamondno8_0.0.20050707-3.dsc

As this package deals with both the TeX and the fonts side of things,
I'm including both the tex-maint list and the fonts taskforce as
recipients of this mail.

I am not currently subscribed to these mailing lists (yet), but I may do
so once I get more experience with the packaging of fonts.

I appreciate any comments that you might have. The urw garamond fonts
are needed for LaTeX documents if you \usepackage[garamond]{mathdesign}
(mathdesign is already packaged in texlive in Debian, but documents with
such inclusions would not be compileable).

Well, that's it. If you have any kind of comments to improve the package
or educate me, I'm quite interested to know.

Thanks, Rogério Brito.

P.S.: I am not a DD, but only a DM, my upload rights to the archive are
restricted.
