I launched debuild -us -uc more than two time in a row without error.

I can't reproduce it if I do like you:
(this is the second launch)
$fakeroot make -f debian/rules build
(snip)
$echo $?
0
$fakeroot make -f debian/rules binary
(snip)
$echo $?
0
$fakeroot make -f debian/rules clean
(snip)
$echo $?
0
