Bug#557750: segfault on startup, attempt to bind to unloaded texture

I have experienced a similar problem with ETRacer, but in my case the
bug was in Mesa.  The error message provided by Arthur

    %%% etracer warning: Attempt to bind to Texture unloaded texture:
     `b-herring     _icon'

is reminiscent of one I was getting:

If this bug has the same cause as mine, then a future update of Mesa may
solve this issue as well.  It's possible that the Debian X Strike Force
could provide a patched version of Mesa for testing purposes; or, they
might possibly release a patched update to Debian experimental.
