Hi Sylvain,

the plugin is not a dependency, because it's not required to get sound.
If it's not installed, OSS is used. I just tested that (on jessie) and I
had to manually load the kernel module snd-pcm-oss to make that work on
Linux. No idea why. I also tested an unrelated program (higan) with OSS
and that also required loading the kernel module manually. So the
problem seems to be that OSS does not work out of the box.
