Hi,

pygame-sdl2 is an old mostly unmaintained fork of pygame,
beacause a long time ago pygame did not yet supported SDL2.

The only reason pygame-sdl2 is kept in the archive
is because renpy needs it & vendor it in it's upstream repository.

It should not be used for any new development.

I fell in this pitfall and it seams from popcon
that a lot of other people did too:
