Package: hardware-monitor
Version: 0.7-5
Severity: normal

With 2.6 kernels hardware-monitor seems to ignore the new waiting-for-io state.
Therefore it shows almost 100% CPU usage if you run something io-intensive, like

  find / -type f

In the same situation top reports about 10% used, 2% nice and 88%
waiting-for-io.

Background:
In the 2.6 kernel series the layout of /proc/stat has changed. At the end of
the cpu-line three new fields were added: iowait, irq and softirq. The iowait
field should be treated like idle by hardware-monitor.

Regards,
  Felix Kuehling
