that newer versions of GDM and Zenity are available since February 5th (date of
the upstream GNOME 2.4.2 release).

The above page suggests that both packages are considered by upstream as a part
of the GNOME core, hence I am wondering why Debian doesn't handle them as a team
and thus why updates were not released with the other GNOME 2.4.2 packages that
have trickled down to Testing already?

Clarifications and ETA of updated Debian packages would be appreciated.
