I managed to solve MY problem by downgrading gdm to a lower release. Don't know if it's a release problem, but I'm actually OK. This is what I did: apt-get remove gdm (change my /etc/apt/source.list to point to the "stable" debian release) apt-get install gdm It worked OK for me. Best regards, Ric
