Hi,

The gconf key for that is:
/apps/nautilus/preferences/always_use_browser

The preference in the UI question already has a bug:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=3D261031

Please check the BTS before reporting dups, I'm merging the bug now.
