KDM includes all of the .desktop files for every session it can think of in
its own sessions dir.  You can tell gdm to pick them up if you like by
uncommenting and changing SessionDesktopDir in /etc/gdm/gdm.conf to be:
SessionDesktopDir=3D/etc/X11/sessions/:/etc/dm/Sessions/:/usr/share/xsessio=
ns/:/usr/share/apps/kdm/sessions

I'll be filing bugs on everything that has a file in /etc/gdm/Sessions to
switch to a .desktop file in /usr/share/xsessions.
