Bug#280899: Cannot pipe into started program

If a user wants to set the selection in Synaptic, they would do this:

echo "gaim\tuninstall" | gksudo synaptic --set-selections

However, this doesn't work -- it appears that gksu is closing stdin, or
not passing it on, or something.
