Just file a wishlist bug and I'll add it if it makes sense. I've already
thought about the default session automatic update, but there are too
few packages needing it, and it would have to be more complicated than
what you are describing. Anyway, gnome-session is being rewritten
upstream and will include such a mechanism in a future version.
