Bug#365642: The same behavior on my computer

Hello,

for my two systems running Debian testing and GNOME, I experience the
same problem.

I'd say X is crashing.

I find the following lines in my X.org logfile:

After removing the aforementioned file, everthing is fine again.
Additionally, I see similar behavior when selection options for
the EURO character in the same tab.
