Ok, I switched into EXA and yes, that fixes the crash. However, there
is still clearly an another gnome-session related problem: as there are 
two separate displays, there should be two instances of FVWM window
manager running, but unfortunately there is only one (for the secondary
display). I guess this must be similar problem to the well-known bug
(which also affects me too) that gnome-session starts just one xterm.

Okey, attached are the lspci -v printout, xorg.conf and log 
from a working (GNOME) session (sorry, the crashing log is already
overwritten, the alternative, older log would have been from a session
where I was running the previous just FVWM without GNOME, which did
work ok with the earlier X configuration).
