I think Erich might be right. While it does pick up keyboard input
immediately, it does sometimes take a while for the interface to
actually display. I can type out my entire password (14 characters)
before the display actually appears. Though at least as of 2.16, once it
DOES appear it's got my whole password in there. (2.14 would lose most
of the characters which is what made it annoying for me.)
