status of gnome-themes-extras? (#453255)

Dear GNOME maintainers,

I'd like to ask you about the plans for the gnome-themes-extras 
package. Debian currently has a forked version of a package which is 
deprecated upstream, while upstream has released a completely new set 
of themes under the same name.

Since it would be sad to lose the set of themes which is currently 
maintained as g-t-e in Debian, I suggest to re-upload it under a 
different name (e.g. gnome-themes-legacy) and upload the new upstream 
version as g-t-e (as already suggested in #453255. However, this bug 
has not seen any answer so far.).

I really like the new Unity theme and want to use it on my Desktop. ;)

Of course I offer my help to maintain both packages, if you like!
