Bug#539657: /apps/gedit-2/preferences/editor/cursor_position/restore_cursor_position=false should prevent saving the cursor position

Package: gedit
Version: 2.26.1-1
Severity: normal

gedit saves the current cursor position in each file it edits in
~/.cache/gedit/gedit-metadata.xml . In an effort to make it stop that,
I found and unset
/apps/gedit-2/preferences/editor/cursor_position/restore_cursor_position.
This stopped gedit from actually *using* the metadata, but did not stop
it from *saving* the metadata.

Please make gedit stop saving the cursor position when told not to use
it. If
/apps/gedit-2/preferences/editor/cursor_position/restore_cursor_position
should not control this, then perhaps a new preference
/apps/gedit-2/preferences/editor/cursor_position/save_cursor_position
could. Either way, I'd like some way to disable this behavior.
