Bug#607812: Not a bug - found the cause - now is a wishlist request to update doc

I discovered why this happened. The files I was editing were C programs with
a header line as follows:
/* -*- Mode: C; indent-tabs-mode: t; c-basic-offset: 8; tab-width: 8 -*- */
No doubt this will be immediately familiar to you, it isn't to me. There's
no reference I can see in the help file to indicate that there are some sort
of editor commands available in the loaded file. Perhaps this is part of
some common Linux editor like emacs? (which I have never used)

I suggest some reference to this behaviour be inserted into the help file.

Perhaps this should be left as a bug reclassified as wishlist?
