Bug#674686: evince: Size of side bar can not be reduced

when i increase the width of the side bar to a certain size i can not
reduce it anymore. I already deleted the content of the .gnome2/evince
directory and killed evinced, but the document where i changed the with
of the side bar still keeps showing the "oversized" side bar. The
document can not be read at all.
