Ah, I should have seen that parts of gnome 3.8 are now reaching testing.
With parts, meaning functionality loss (because of the other parts not
yet there).

As I understand it, there's no actual program malfunction - just "simply"
no user inferface for configuration?!...

In that case, I'm sorry to say that this problem will likely not be
resolved until we manage to get all of the gnome 3.8 transitions done
and get gnome-control-center 3.8.x into unstable/testing.

For now I can only suggest installing it (and the rest of gnome 3.8) from
experimental if you urgently need the functionality back.
