Hi,

A client of ours recently ran into something that sounds very similar to
this bug, and did some debugging of their own. They came up with the
following steps to reproduce the issue:

1) Open two separate gnome terminal windows, not full screen
2) In one run the yes command
3) In the other run the top command and maximise it to full screen
4) Switch between the terminal windows using alt-tab
5) Continue switching until the yes command "pauses". You can tell this
because its state in top will change to S (interruptible sleep).

Some other points to note:
* strace tcsh shows rt_sigsuspend([]
* This does not happen when running yes in xterm
* This occurs in gnome terminals on local or remote machines
* This occurs in gnome classic and xfce
* This occurs in tcsh and bash

Regards,
Chris
