Dear Maintainer,

This problem has been uncovered using the libgtk + other gnome components from experimental. It was found for me when
using synaptic, however, other reports involve other applications with large listviews. Upstream has a bug

I felt it important to log it here though so debian users can find this - it took me two days to discover what the
cause was. Using the workaround (NO_AT_BRIDGE=1 <command>) has worked for me for synaptic, and rhythmbox.
