To whom it may concern:

Please be advised that I attempted to submit a bug report with Debian
but was unable to send it. BugReport expected me to enter a password to
use my outgoing mail server, however I do not require one normally, so
the transaction failed... and unfortunately, there did not appear to be
any other options available for me in the configuration of BugReport to
send the report.

Further, be advised that I have done a search and have not found a bug
report that matches my situation. That said, if there has been such a
bug reported, I offer my apologies in advance.

In Debian Jessie (Final) with the Gnome desktop, gnome-contacts crashes
when I attempt to save new details for an existing contact. Note: if I
merely edit existing details, but not add new information in any
additional fields, then gnome-contacts saves the edit. Further, I have
found this bug exists in both 32 and 64 bit editions of Debian Jessie.

At some point in future, I hope that I can download and install a newer
version of this package --possibly through backports-- or that a package
fix will be made available when there is a point release update for
Debian Jessie. I would hope that I do not have to wait for the next
major release of Debian before seeing this issue resolved even though
the bug might not be regarded as important.

Thanks to all for your consideration,
