Package: gnome-sound-recorder
Version: 3.21.92-1
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Running 'gnome-sound-recorder' and click 'Record'
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Click 'Record'
* What was the outcome of this action?
'Your audio settings are invalid'
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Sound to be recorded.
Pulseaudio is installed, and other applications using the mic work (e.g., I can do audio/video conferences and people hear me), so sound/recording do work on this machine.
This was originally reported in Tails, see https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/11780. This report is from a Debian unstable installation.
