Bug#873936: Backporting proxy usage

Package: chrome-gnome-shell
Version: 8.4

I’m not that sure of the version, I have Debian Stretch 9.1 at work
but I’m not there at the moment, should be 8.4.

The shipped version doesn’t make use of proxy settings, so everytime
I log into the shell, I get displayed a message, that CGS cannot
connect to the internet (in our corporate environment). This is fixed
in master, please backport this!

Here’s the link to my bug report against CGS:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=787101

Additionally, I cannot install gnome shell extensions via Firefox. If
this won’t be solved by this bug, it would be nice if it would be
solved otherwise!

Best regards,
Frank
