This belongs to grub-installer, not grub2.
See #473401 this is already known.
Don't worry I did the mistake too although I reported it for
debian-installer :)
It's just the little difference between grub-legacy and grub2.

I haven't checked what the default is but it doestn't hurt anyway.
chainloading is used only if you update `grub' package (grub-legacy)
with `grub-pc' (grub2)
