In your case it's a problem on the RAID, not LVM level. I'll need your
fdisk output as well as result of
grub-fstest -c 2 /dev/sd[ab] hex '(mduuid/<UUID>)+20'
You can find the UUID out with:
grub-fstest -c 2 /dev/sd[ab] ls
