I think that the name is a little generic, but I like the idea of
 a jquery-plugins-minimal, and jquery-plugins-full with a different
selection. (Which to my mind matches the plugins for the Perl
 CGI::Application package.)

However I guess the existing name of "jquery-goodies" matches the
similar package "emacs-goodies" - so I'd not argue too strongly.

I like the initial set, but I'm a little wary of only a single
package, because I suspect over time there will be the temptation to
add "just one more plugin" and that if left unchecked things will be
 less useful.

So, my initial suggestion is designed to help nip that in the bud:

    jquery-plugins / jquery-plugins-minimal
-> Contains only plugins which are a single file.
           (ie. jquery.foo.js / jquery.foo.min.js)

    jquery-plugins-full / jquery-plugins-all (or similar)
-> Contains plugins with associated media such as CSS / images.
           (i.e. jquery/jquery.gallerific.js +
           images/gallerific.next.png + images/gallerific.prev.png)

I think that level of seperation is sane, easy to explain to people,
and likely to make it obvious where any proposed new addition should
 go.

FWIW I have the following plugins on my "great" list:
