This is an ugly bug it seems. Since I cannot reproduce it, I ask you
to try one more thing for me:

Please install the next version, which provides debugging symbols
for the binary. It also just might fix the problem:

Then try to reproduce the segfault. If you can, please send a core dump to me:

  ulimit -c unlimited
  while mdadm -Escpartitions >out.stdout 2>out.stderr; do sleep 1; done

After the run, do send ./core and ./out.std* to
madduck+nostore at madduck.net .
