My name is Mr. Himatt al-Fares Qanni, I am a retired government official, former personal and financial adviser to some top politicians in Syria. I was forcefully retired by the government of President Bashar al-Assad because they suspected that I have taken side with the rebels fighting to overthrow him.

I intend to move my family out of Syria to start a new life abroad.
