Hi, I'm following the instructions on http://mozilla.debian.net/ which
said I should email if I have any problems. I successfully installed
17.0.1-2 several weeks back, following the instructions for iceweasel
release on Debian testing (wheezy). But now that 18.0.1-1 is out, I
get the following error when I try to upgrade:
| # apt-get install -t experimental iceweasel
| Reading package lists... Done
| Building dependency tree
| Reading state information... Done
| Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
| requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
| distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
| or been moved out of Incoming.
| The following information may help to resolve the situation:
|
| The following packages have unmet dependencies:
| iceweasel : Depends: xulrunner-18.0 (>= 18.0.1-1) but it is not going to be installed
| E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
If I add 'xulrunner-18.0' to the apt-get line, I get this error:
| The following packages have unmet dependencies:
| xulrunner-18.0 : Depends: libnss3 (>= 2:3.14) but 2:3.13.6-2 is to be installed
| E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
and so it looks like the required newer version of libnss3 has not
been made available yet:
| # apt-cache policy libnss3
| libnss3:
| Installed: 2:3.13.6-2
| Candidate: 2:3.13.6-2
| Version table:
| *** 2:3.13.6-2 0
| 500 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ wheezy/main amd64 Packages
| 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
thanks for your help,
Greg
