Not really, icedax is meant as a fully compatible replacement for 
cdda2wav.

If you are looking for general information regarding the replacement 
of cdrecord et al in Debian, please read the FORK file in the cdrkit 
tarball.

Regarding your package, there is only icedax in Debian (and ubuntu) 
not cdda2wav, so the choice is pretty clear.
