...or more accurately, you have found a team to work with, and no longer 
need sponsoring.

Sponsoring is for maintaining alone and needing someone to approve 
packages resulting from that work.

Team maintainance is, well, maintaining the package as a team effort, so 
essentially unlike the logic of sponsoring.
