Package: ffmpeg
Version: 4:0.6.1-5
Severity: normal

I was trying to find out which version of ffmpeg reenabled the
mpeg2video codec.

In squeeze, the changelog includes:

ffmpeg (4:0.5.2-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Enable some encoders:
    - h263, h263p, mpeg2video, mpeg4, msmpeg4v1, msmpeg4v2, msmpeg4v3
    Closes: #418231, #433287, #440216, #587898, #525349
  * Bump Standards Version, no changes needed

In sid, this entry is missing. Presumably this is because you worked
on different branches for squeeze/sid and experimental for a while,
and the current package is derived from the latter branch. However,
you have merged at least some changes from the former branch,
including this one, into the current package. The changelog should
show this.

Ben.
