Bug#767866: mediatomb: Mediatomb config uses lo interface, stopped my ps3 from recognizing it

Package: mediatomb
Version: 0.12.1-7
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I ran apt-get dist-upgrade and then my PS3 stopped being able to see my
mediatomb server.

After a few restarts I saw it was running with "-e lo". I changed
MT_INTERFACE in /etc/default/mediatomb and the PS3 could miraculously
connect again. When I started writing up this bug report I thought
maybe that setting was a new change. Having looked at some other bug
reports, maybe it was always that way and mediatomb was erroneously
binding all the interfaces. Now that that's not the case, perhaps "lo"
is not the best choice for a default interface
